Driver configuration and frequency bands
A 2.5-way design distributes the frequency bands through crossover points at 400 Hz and 3,000 Hz. A single 6-inch Pure Piston Mid driver reproduces the midrange, while a separate 6-inch Pure Piston dual-magnet driver handles the bass.
High frequencies are reproduced by the Gold Leaf AMT tweeter. Its faceplate is machined from a single piece of aerospace-grade aluminium, then glass-blasted, brushed and anodized in Tungsten Titanium Grey. The rose-gold-plated dispersion mesh also functions as the S-Stop filter.
Internal circuit design
The AMT circuit uses specially developed polypropylene capacitors with tinned-copper leads and double cryogenic treatment. Metal-housed resistors improve heat dissipation and help maintain stable operation at higher power levels.
The internal wiring is made from cryogenically treated pure copper. Strategically positioned Nano Pore damping material is used to control midrange performance, while the bass-reflex system is optimized for more precise low-frequency reproduction.
Connecting the speaker
Music sources connect to an external power amplifier, and the speaker connects to that amplifier with speaker cable. As a passive model, it cannot power itself or accept a source signal directly.
