Pioneer AVIC-F88DAB is a 2-DIN navigation and multimedia receiver for in-car use. Its 7-inch capacitive touchscreen brings navigation, music, video and radio controls together. Pioneer AVIC-F88DAB is an in-dash 2-DIN navigation and audio/video multimedia receiver. It features a 7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, built-in navigation, a DAB+ tuner and Bluetooth connectivity.
Navigation and the selected audio or video source can operate at the same time. Dual-zone mode allows entertainment for the front and rear of the vehicle to be controlled separately, while the rear RCA AV output is designed for an additional display.
Display and navigation
The 7-inch display has an anti-glare surface. Drag-and-drop operation allows menu items to be rearranged, and the button and display illumination can be customised. The menu is available in 17 languages, but Lithuanian is not included.

The store lists support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, AppRadio Mode and AVICSYNC. The receiver carries the Made for iPod designation and is designed to play content from compatible iPod, iPhone and Android devices.
Connections and sound adjustment
The receiver has two USB ports, one HDMI input, an SD card slot, a rear AV AUX input, two RCA AV inputs and a rear RCA AV output. Both USB extension cables are included. Connecting a portable device through the analogue input requires a mini-jack-to-RCA cable, which is not supplied.
Three 4 V RCA pre-outs are provided for the front channels, rear channels and subwoofer. External amplifiers can therefore be connected through the RCA pre-outs. Sound adjustment facilities include a 13-band graphic equalizer, high-pass and low-pass filters, automatic time alignment, automatic equalization and listening-position selection.
Advanced Sound Retriever is intended for compressed audio recordings, while source-level adjustment helps reduce changes in volume when switching between sources. A capacitor is used in the power-supply circuit.
Cameras and vehicle functions
The reversing-camera input supports the display of parking guidelines. A separate RCA input for a second camera provides an additional video source. Cameras are not included. The CAN-bus UART connection can display climate-control and parking information only in selected vehicle models. The receiver is also prepared for wired remote control and includes an anti-theft function.
The package includes two USB extension cables, an external Bluetooth microphone and a GPS antenna.
