HPOCC copper construction
The internal conductor is made from high-purity oxygen-free HPOCC copper. During the HPOCC manufacturing process, transitions resembling single crystals are formed within the copper.
Inside the cable are twelve individually insulated copper conductors. Each conductor is also wrapped in a thin layer of copper foil. This combination of conductors and foil is designed to correct differences in transmission time between high and low frequencies.
The signal paths for high and low frequencies are separated within the cable design.
Plugs and connection
The straight Fusion plugs have solid-metal bodies. Their contact surfaces are plated with 24-carat gold. The gold plating is applied specifically to the plug contacts, while the cable’s internal conductor is made from HPOCC copper.
Switch off the amplifier before making any connections. Connect the terminal marked in red to the corresponding terminal on the speaker. Maintain the same polarity at the black terminals. Consistent polarity across both channels helps prevent the speakers from operating out of phase with each other.
Insert each plug straight into its terminal without forcing it in at an angle. A secure contact should be achieved without placing sideways strain on the socket. Before switching the system on, check that every plug is fully inserted.
Choosing the length and routing the cable
Four standard lengths are specifically offered for this model: 2.00, 2.50, 3.00 and 3.50 metres. Choose the length according to the cable’s actual route rather than the straight-line distance between the components.
Allow for the sections running from the amplifier down towards the floor, around furniture and up to the speaker terminals. Leave a small amount of spare length so that equipment can be moved when required. Excess cable should not be wound into a tight coil behind the equipment.
Choose the same length for both stereo channels. Equal lengths make the cables easier to arrange and simplify moving the speakers from one side to the other later. Customised lengths are also available.
The cable has a round geometry, a black finish and a textile outer sheath. It is made in Germany.
