HILARY HAHN & NATALIE ZHU – MOZART: VIOLIN SONATAS

Hilary Hahn and Natalie Zhu have had a musical partnership since 1993. The master violinists, who both studied at the renowned Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, played Mozart’s violin sonatas together at a chamber music festival in France on the initiative of the institute’s director, Gary Graffman. What began as a baptism of fire quickly paid off. This was followed by tours together through the entire world, which led them to Carnegie Hall, among other places. This recording of Mozart’s sonatas for piano and violin was first released in 2005.
