Pioneer DEH-X2900UI Car Stereo with CD and USB

The Pioneer DEH-X2900UI car stereo is an in-car CD receiver designed for listening to music from discs, USB storage devices, radio and external audio equipment. The high-pass filter reduces the lowest-frequency load placed on the main speakers. The low-pass filter is used to separate the subwoofer channel from the rest of the audio range.

Two pairs of RCA pre-outs can be configured for front, rear or subwoofer channels. They do not provide three simultaneously operating pairs of outputs. Direct Sub Drive and Advanced Sound Retriever functions are also included.

Controls, Display and Installation

The 1-DIN chassis requires a matching single-height dashboard opening. Space must also be left for plugs connected to the front USB and AUX ports. When removed, the faceplate can be kept in the protective case supplied with the stereo.

The wide-viewing-angle VA LCD shows up to 12 characters on one line and supports Cyrillic characters. It provides ten-step brightness adjustment, multicolour button and display illumination, lighting effects and an illumination timer.

Automatic telephone muting responds to a signal from a connected system, while power-saving mode operates when the unit is inactive. Inputs are provided for wired remote control and steering-wheel control. The CD-SR100 steering-wheel remote is an optional accessory.
